Stress is the root cause of just about every ailment known to man, including heart attacks, stroke and cancer. As dangerous as stress is, it has become a part of day to day life for the majority of the human race.

Stress is derived from our own thought processes. Thoughts about past events in our lives bring up emotions such as grief, heartache, sadness, jealousy, resentment and hate. Thoughts about future events in our lives bring up emotions such as worry, anxiety, want and need. All of these emotions lead directly to stress. Ask yourself one simple question, can you control the future or change what has happened in the past?  Of course not, no one can.  So why do we hold on to emotions such as pain, grief and grudges from the past and future?  As we have no control over the future and cannot change the past, why let these events cause us so much interference?  Unfortunately, it is all part of the human condition or human nature.
